Hi, I'm Evgeny Yakovlev, I'm 18 years old, I like programming.
I became interested in software development and computer science at the age of 12. My first experience was with Clickteam Fusion game engine and developing horror game projects on this engine. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of this engine, especially not supporting 3D, I switched to a different engine and decided to move forward. I moved to Unreal Engine 4, which offered all the features I needed. Around that time, I also became interested in the game Hello Neighbor and started creating modifications for it. As a result, my introduction to Unreal Engine 4 began with the Mod Kit, which I used to develop mods for the game.
After gaining more experience with Unreal Engine, I started developing my own game projects from scratch. The first of these projects was LTF - Containment is Magic. However, the development of this game is currently frozen due to difficulties in finding a 3D artist. My next project was a Hello Neighbor fan game called Hello Neighbor: CODE (also known as Hello Neighbor: Chaos of Darkness). Initially, this project was an experiment in recreating the mechanics of Hello Neighbor from scratch. I shared my progress with friends, and later, one of them suggested porting a mod I had previously developed and turning it into a standalone game. Throughout the development process, I studied AI programming, game mechanics, animation work, and lighting.
Since 2020, I have been developing websites. At the age of 14, I wrote my own CMS using PHP and MySQL. Later, I focused solely on static websites. Since 2024, I have been learning Next.js, React.js, and Node.js in general.
